PRACTICES The Meridian Officers will be Performing this Degree Practices 14th &21st July at 6 p.m. MANAGEMENT MEETINGWednesday 21st 2010 at 7:25 p.m. ALL MEMBERS WELCOME NEWS AND EVENTS Just to confuse even more please behold our first attempt at the Notice Paper covering our three Lodges. Please take time to familiarise yourself with the new concept. It will be vitally important that you carefully read at least the first page to see which Lodge is doing what work and if you are taking any part in the individual ceremonies. The only risk that we have in taking on the third Warrant is your apathy – thinking it is someone else’s responsibility to make it work. It is your responsibility – it is our responsibility – each and everyone of us. The idea for the first few months will be for Millennium Lodge to work First Degrees, Meridian Lodge to perform the Second Degrees and Burleigh Lodge to work the Third Degrees. It is yet to be decided the exact night that Millennium will meet permanently but probably the second or third Tuesday giving you a choice of a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday night to go to your Craft Lodge at a bare minimum. We will hold the inaugural meeting of Millennium Lodge here on the Coast on what would have been Meridian’s first Monday because of the Installation on the second Saturday, the 14th of August. Chris Palmer will be Installed as Master of Meridian on that Saturday and we should all ensure we are in attendance to support Chris and his Officers. The Assistant Grand Master, RW Bro Alan Townson will be in attendance and once again we need to be there in big numbers so that the AGM sees the strength of our Lodges. To the newer members please be aware that Installations are a very important part of our Masonic year and it is one of the chances that you have to bring along your partner to ensure a very good night out.To those who have young children, you can be assured that these nights are not late ones with the dinner over by about 9.15 p.m. The ladies are welcome any time between 4 p.m when we tyle and 7 p.m when the dinner starts. Millennium Lodge will be performing a first degree on the 2nd of August. We will utilise the Officers of Meridian to perform the work seeing they are having a break this month due to the Installation. Mark Swift will be our Candidate. All Initiates who have not had the 1st Degree Tracing Board presented to them need to be at the Millennium meeting as Eddie Miller will be delivering it that night. Remember the Tracing Board is the pre-requisite for you taking your Second Degree. Burleigh Lodge Officers will be performing a Third Degree on Bro Tim Ruttley on Wednesday the 28th of July which I am certain will be a great night. Tim has patiently waited for this night to arrive and I am certain he will not be disappointed. With the three Lodge concept it is our desire to work single degrees so the nights will be even shorter than what we presently experience at present so “no time to get there” is not an excuse.
